I've been working on a new look for Obstreperous Heart.  Although I didn't really mind the stark black-and-white, I was getting a little frustrated that I had no HTML clue and couldn't do a lot of the posting enhancements that I wanted.

Yesterday I was playing around with the code and figured out how to hyperlink text.  Once I got that down, I decided to see what I could do for some color and fonts.  Then, I wanted to insert that cute photo of my boys.  If you visited the site yesterday, you may have been confused by the flops and changes that left my site looking like a cut-and-paste ransom note.

It's still not exactly where I want it, and may never quite get there, but I figure one day spent learning something new is not completely wasted.

Chuck said he was proud of me and I'm sure he is, but I think he's even more relieved that I will stop dropping little whiny hints about how ugly Gooblink is, to get him to work on it.  (You don't know how it pains me to end a sentence with a preposition.  This grammatical "faux pas"  has become common enough practice now that the “rules” say it’s okay to do IT.  That being the case, I'm not going to try to fix IT.  As Churchill said, "The rule which forbids ending a sentence with a preposition is the kind of nonsense up with which I will not put.”)

What does that have to do with new colors and features on my web site?  Nothing.  Absolutely nothing.

Now I’m going to go and see what new stories I can come up WITH.
