Several months ago I ran across "this website":http://www.nanowrimo.org where you can sign up for the "National Write A Novel in a Month" contest. Apparently November is "National Novel Writing Month," though I'm not sure by whom thus declaration was made. Basically, you can register via the "NANOWRIMO":http://www.nanowrimo.org website and become part of a virtual accountability group where you commit to writing 50,000 words in 30 days beginning at midnight on November 1 and ending at midnight on November 30, posting your word count and an excerpt from each days writing.
I've got coffee. I've got toothpicks. I've got a Chiropractor. Who needs sleep?
The only things I don't have are a plot, credible characters and a genre.
I'm gonna go for it!
