I find the whole "same sex marriage" issue confusing. I guess it's human nature to want what we don't, or can't, have. If you're gay, and really, really wanting to "make it official," I invite you to consider the wisdom shared by my grandpa to us grandkids:
"Marriage is a wonderful institution, if you want to live in an institution!"
And if you do manage to attain this Abraham's Bosom on Earth? Just remember, if I may borrow a bit of profundity from President George W. Bush (albeit in the context of foreign policy. But then again, sometimes it will seem like your spouse is speaking a foreign tongue...):
"It's hard work!"
