We're not the Addams Family, but sometimes I think that if we just had a live in Uncle named Fester, we'd be close.

Our yard is surrounded on 3 sides by fence which conceals 3 of our neighbors' backyards.  Imagine yourself on the other side of our fence and you hear the following dialogue.

Alex:  Can we look at them?
Mom:  Look with your eyes.
Alex:  Mom!  Chris is picking one up!  He's holding one!
Mom:  Chris, put that down!  We don't touch dead animals in the wild!

Thump.

Chris:  Why mom?  This is not the wild, it's our backyard.
Mom:  Yes, but those animals are wild animals.  We're going to have to bury them.  Oh, Oh, Chris, don't touch anything!  Put your hands up!  Yes, now, walk to mommy, hands in the air!  That's it.  Now, come on inside and wash your hands and DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING!

Just so you know, 3 baby birds had fallen out of a tree in our backyard and died.  We don't sacrifice wild animals.  We will give them a proper burial.
